Welcome to Photos4Sharing, a free and open online community designed to allow you to share pictures the you want . Photos4Sharing is full-featured and robust, combining several of the most powerful applications avalible to offer its members a whole range of community opportunities in addition to photo sharing. Because of its open-source architecture, Photos4Sharing will continue to evolve and grow adding and improving features based on the needs and requests of its members.
Photos4Sharing features:
- Drag-and-drop to upload and share photos and videos
- Create and arrange your own albums
- Make albums private with password-protection
- Watermark images or add custom footers to your albums for copyright protection
- Order prints from a variety of labs
- Create user profiles with as much or as little information as you like
- View or supress embedded EXIF (camera data) picture information
There are numerous improvements to the layout and the site is easier than ever to use, as well as a load of new features to enhance your photo sharing expierience. The whole concept behind this site came to me while I was talking to my friend Toby and he stated "I wish there was a site where you could upload photos and videos and they wouldn't try to sell you something or spam all of your friends." After only moments of thought, I decided to create Photos4Sharing.com as a free and open online photo and video sharing community. The first version of this site was based strictly on an open-source program called Gellery2 and accomplished all of my initial goals regarding photo sharing, but didn't offer much else. This time, It is unlikely that future upgrades will cause any interruption of service or loss of data, but Photos4Sharing is still in the beta-testing phase. Unfortunatly, due to the extent of the last upgrade, pre-beta members of Photos4Sharing will have to create new accounts and re-upload their images.
